Pocketbook Surfpad 4 L
Encryption
I only could encrypt the device using this method:
- Backup your device and data !!!
The following [could be obsolete ...
- boot into recovery modus
- wipe cache
- factory reset (and clear all user data)
- flash the device with FW 149**
- reboot the device
- after login continue with language, no wlan ( you don't need it yes ).
- Don't configure the device or install any apps (root, google, ...)
- enter a password (or pin)
- Now reboot and login !
- immediately after reboot encrypt the device
If you don't follow this procedure, you will BE FORCED TO RESET your device to factory reset!
In my case it was not enough to delete the cache or factory reset the device - I HAD TO reflash the device with an actual firmware.
