Before your start: it ist NOT POSSIBLE to use Whatsapp on the Phone AND on the PC simultaniously. Either one or the other. Then you have to re-register the phone!

Pidgin Plugin:

I tested this on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. The problem is to find out the WhatsApp password:
